Different perspective needed…

November 9, 2010 By Paul Yeatman

Tonight we were tasked with drawing some food items – a cylinder, a boc and a bag.  I chose a bottle of iced coffee, a bag of spud chips and a box of microwave popcorn.

After some initial thumbnailing and some false starts, I have penciled in much of my planned detail.  Originally I was going to use the ink wash technique, but having used it for my week 5 assignment, I think I’ll try my hand at markers.

Tonight’s rough is shown below.  I need to work on the logo on the bottle, as well as fix up the bottle sides as they are converging as they go up.  The perspective on my popcorn is also out a little.

The plan is to print out the image at A4 and trace it onto some bleedproof paper and see how I go.
