1950’s Human and pet brief

November 15, 2011 By Paul Yeatman

I was feeling a little rushed last week. I have an a4 render of a human looking recognizably 1950’s along with a pet due next Wednesday. I spent ages sorting out what to draw, then when I started in class last week, my N2 Copic marker was drying up. On Sunday, I bicycled into an art store in the city to get another marker. After about 3 hours of work, my render is almost done. Pretty good given I was feeling a tad stressed last week. The pic should be done later tonight. I will post it along with the final cartoon renders. After putting down the shades over a light hb sketch, I applied fine liner. When the image was marker only, it looked flat. The black pen is starting to give the image depth.
